A strong part of our mission is to help families understand strengths, capabilities and challenges of their special needs child.

We recognize the considerable efforts that parents and families go through to keep their special needs children healthy. Having extensive experience in pediatrics and child development put us in excellent place to help them with that effort especially when it comes to complicated health and developmental issues.  We have expert capabilities in general health issues and those health concerns more common in special needs children, including those children with Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Genetic conditions, and Spina Bifida.

We can act as pediatric and developmental consultants in conjunction with the family’s primary care providers. We can evaluate the child’s health status and help with behavioral and developmental issues and link parents to any resources they might need.  Acting as a consultant we communicate closely with the primary care provider where their medical home resides.

We are happy to accept referrals for  your families for individuals up to 21 years of age where their special developmental issues intersect with their special health care issues, and where parents want to gain a better understanding of their child’s needs. Some parents may wish to see us for a particular need or some on a yearly basis to review their child’s status. Please feel free to call with any questions that you may have.
